Sunoco LP, based in Newtown Square, PA, is seeking a Bunker Trader to own the full trade lifecycle from engagement to execution. You will drive profitability in bunker trading, manage quotes, and negotiate with customers while aligning with commercial strategy.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree and 2+ years of bunker or marine fuels experience, with strong Excel and market-spot pricing knowledge. A fast-paced environment and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Maritime or related discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in bunker trading or marine fuels commercial sector.
• Strong understanding of marine fuel markets, supply chains, and pricing structures.
• Experience working with market index pricing and floating-to-fixed price mechanisms.
• Familiarity with marine fuel specifications.
• Working knowledge of port operations and logistical constraints.
• Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities.
• Experience using maritime intelligence tools such as MarineTraffic and SeaSearcher.
• Commercially driven with strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, real-time trading environment.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Highly analytical with attention to detail.
• Proactive and entrepreneurial approach to opportunity identification and execution.

Responsabilités

• Act as a primary commercial interface for spot and contract bunker trading activity
• Own P&L generation through margin optimization, pricing strategy, and deal execution
• Manage daily market pricing, quoting, and commercial negotiations with customers
• Maintain strong counterparty relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Analyze market trends, port conditions, and pricing dynamics to inform trading decisions
• Monitor and manage trade exposures including credit limits, prepayments, and margin risk
• Partner closely with Commercial, Operations, Credit, and Finance teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and issue resolution
• Deliver revenue and margin growth aligned with commercial strategy
• Expand customer wallet share and improve retention across assigned account
