Job summary

Trinidad Benham in Sterling, CO is seeking a Production (Non-Exempt) team member to safely operate forklifts, unload products, and prepare shipments. The role supports GMP and SQF practices with daily tasks including inventory handling and palletizing. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a valid driver's license. Forklift certification is preferred to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment with opportunities

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift (sit-down and stand-up) and perform daily inspections.
• Unload product from railcars and trucks; minimize waste.
• Fill in as bulk machine operator; bag 50lb bags.
• Weigh, tag, and store product bins and totes.
• Follow confined space procedures when sampling railcars.
• Keep unloading areas clean per SQF guidelines.
• Read Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets; unload railcars/semi trailers.
• Stage pallets, wrap and organize for loading; maintain neat aisles.

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.50 / hour

What you’ll be doing

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift (sit down and stand up); perform required daily inspections.


• Obtain samples from railcars and trucks, efficiently unload product, keeping waste to a minimum.


• Fill in as a bulk machine operator/sewing 50lb bags of product.


• Properly weigh, tag, and store product bins and totes.


• When necessary, follow proper confined space procedures when obtaining railcar samples and cleaning


• Clean pits and all other unloading areas according to SQF guidelines


• Read and understand Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets


• Unloading of railcars and semi-trucks


• Using daily pick sheet, pick full and partial pallets, wrap pallets when necessary, stage product for loading, check pallets for accuracy to order


• Maintain clean and organized aisles and rack storage, and consolidate partial pallets when needed.


• Inventory product as needed; label, sort, wrap, and tie product


• Communicate with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.


• Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area.


• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we need
