Job Brief

As a Bulk Truck Operator, you will operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.

What You'll Do

As a Bulk Truck Operator / CDL Driver, you will operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Duties include:

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of our local SME (Site Mixed Emulsion) plant facility; duties include preparation and quality control management of chemical solutions, loading and unloading of SME trucks.
• Drive/operate a range of delivery vehicles over public roads to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites safely and promptly.
• Drive off-road to mine locations, quarries, FSRs, and other challenging terrains.
• Operate bulk/SME trucks to prepare and deliver explosive products.
• Operate rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (skid steer) and trailers.
• Possess basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and minor repairs in the field, following DN H&S procedures.
• Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density.
• Load/unload trucks and maintain magazines, sites, and inventories.
• Follow all safety procedures to ensure safety during operations.
• Maintain records and reports on handling and transportation of explosives, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance documentation.
• Apply company policies, SOPs, and safety practices consistently.
• Ensure safety of all crew members and adherence to safety and regulatory procedures.
• Occasionally work at sister sites in Rathdrum, ID, or Oakland, OR, as required.

What We're Looking For

• CDL Class A or B required.
• Air brakes and tanker endorsements required.
• Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Willingness to undergo ATF background check for explosives possession.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Availability to work Monday - Friday, with early morning start times (8-14 hours daily).
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team spirit.
