Job summary

Patriot Rail Company in Indiana is seeking a dependable Transload Operator to manage inbound/outbound transfer of bulk liquids and solids, operate forklifts and transfer equipment, and ensure safe loading from railcars to tank trucks.

You will perform daily safety checks, document results, and cooperate with terminal teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Readiness for outdoor work in all weather and ability to travel between terminals are required.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer skills (data entry).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Willing to learn railcar/trans loading equipment.
• Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals.

Responsibilities

• Outbound and inbound inventory receiving, etc.
• Complete damage reports, product, wrapping, pallet, bundle, crate, etc.
• Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
• Safely and timely stage products for loading.
• Safely and timely load products onto truck, and/or railcar.
• Responsible for quality control - damaged products.
• Operate within SOPs and JSAs.
• Operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks, preventive maintenance and report issues.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Keep clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Facilitate loading from railcars into tank trucks for bulk liquids.
• Physical requirements: lifting, carrying, and various positions for inspections and loading.
• Able to wear fall protection PPE at heights above 4 ft.
• Certified to wear a respirator and meet respiratory program requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
