Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation in Savannah, GA is seeking a Bulk Sugar Station Operator responsible for running the Bulk Sugar Supply System, inspecting equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient operation.

You will load trucks/railcars, verify shipments, monitor silo levels, perform SQF and CTQ quality checks, and uphold GMP and environmental practices. This is an on-site role with a self-directed work team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to perform basic math with units; handle various measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Bulk Sugar Supply System and related equipment.
• Load bulk trucks and railcars and verify shipments against SOP.
• Monitor silo/bin levels and coordinate sugar transfers between refinery, packaging, and bulk loading.
• Perform quality checks (CTQ, SQF) and document compliance.
• Maintain plant sanitation per Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance.
• Follow safety, GMP, quality, and environmental practices.
• Fill in for Liquid Shipping Operator as needed.
