Ferrara Candy Co. in Bellwood, IL is seeking a Bulk Receiver for the overnight shift (6pm–6:30am). You will receive raw ingredients, verify loads meet specifications, unload materials, and upload COAs into SAP.

Maintain dock cleanliness, label pallets, and assist in weekly and year-end inventory. Forklift experience and SAP proficiency are preferred; English communication skills are required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic experience in Microsoft Office, Excel and SAP.
• Valid forklift license within a year.

Position requiresabilityto work overtime. As a result, it mayrequire workingvarying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs.

This is an OVERNIGHT SHIFT position, hours are 6pm-6:30am. Two nights on, two nights off, every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) off.

The Bulk Receiver is responsible for receiving raw ingredients in bulk, verifying incoming loads meet specifications, unloading raw materials, uploading all COA information into SAP and completing all necessary paperwork to meet Food Safety standards.

Ways you will make a difference

• Complete written documents for reporting the PO was received


• Upload all COA’s and necessary documents into SAP for all raw material receiving


• Unload raw materials according to the processes designed


• Operate unloading equipment to send raw materials to storage


• Maintain cleanliness of unloading dock, well organized bins, and all pallets to be with correct labels


• Ensure proper loading and unloading of trailers


• Operate unloading equipment to send raw materials to storage


• Operates forklift to unload and move pallets of product from bin area locations to the PSA’s


• Participate and assist in weekly inventory process and year-end process


• Responsible for daily inventory physical counts of in plant raw and bulk materials


• Interact with truck drivers in a professional manner


• Inspects forklift and wooden pallets for damage and cleanliness prior to use and checks forklift battery to verify there is water in the battery prior to use


• Report any safety issues, near misses and injuries with the forklift to the Inventory Supply Supervisor immediately


• Completes quality & food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Quality Manager, Inventory Supply Manager or Inventory Supply Supervisor


• Ensures adherence to safety and GMP policies and standards


• Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor or manager
