Job summary

Simmons Pet Food Inc is seeking an employee to verify batch ingredients and ensure correct formulations are followed on their production line. The role involves auditing operator batching, validating lot numbers and weights, and completing shift-scale verifications to maintain product quality.

The worker will also be responsible for end-of-shift documentation, pallet tagging, and ensuring GMP practices on the shop floor. Strong English communication and basic math are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education requires basic math, reading, writing, and computer knowledge with good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Verify that the ingredients for the first batch of every formula are correct.
• Audit operators’ batching, ensure correct lot numbers, and verify weights during weighing.
• Complete scale verification at shift start and after any scale move; submit the Scale Verification Form.
• Check the end of shift rack items are properly identified and paperwork is handed to Can Production Supervisor.
• Print pallet tags and ensure ingredients are not expired by QA tag checks in bulk room.
• Maintain a clean sanitary environment and enforce GMP practices on the shop floor.
• Ensure partial bags are taped, dated, initialed and labeled with QA tag before return to racks.
• Notify supervisor if any foreign material is found and ensure micro ingredients are weighed and labeled.
