Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Waynesville, NC to operate forklifts, package and palletize products, and load/unload trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role involves maintaining packaging supplies, receiving materials, and helping ensure FDA compliance. Additional duties may include moving inventory on site and occasional weekend or on-call work. Forklift experience is preferred, and strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • 2 years of work experience (preferred).
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to push, pull or lift 50 lbs. repetitively.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Package, box, palletize product, load and unload trucks.
  • Warehousing and storage of product and raw materials.
  • Maintain supplies of packaging material on the lines.
  • Assist in general maintenance to meet FDA requirements.

Requirements And Responsibilities
  • Must have an outstanding attendance record
  • Have ability to shrink wrap pallets and transfer product to the warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks and assist in receiving supplies
  • Maintain supplies of packaging material on the lines
  • May be required to move inventory onsite and located off property
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education/Experience
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • 2 years’ work experience
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions

Work Environment/Conditions/Physical Demands

These are considered essential duties and are illustrative of those job tasks, which are fundamental. Work will take place in a manufacturing environment. Lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms. Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes and environmental exposure. Seasonally hot climate.
