Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a production team member to fill orders to client specifications in a warehouse environment. The role requires packing boxes, verifying quality, and assembling pallets with correct counts while adhering to safety and cgmp standards.

Responsibilities include communicating issues to supervisors, meeting output goals, and following 5S housekeeping. Flexibility for overtime and long shifts is expected, with emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to read/write English, interpret numerical sequences and communicate production issues.
• Two years previous high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill orders efficiently to specifications.
• Pack boxes with correct units and verify quality.
• Stack boxes according to pallet patterns and verify identifications.
• Identify and communicate mechanical or safety issues to Supervisor.
• Meet production output goals for assigned product or process.
• Follow procedures and tool usage for salt hanging.
• Maintain housekeeping and support 5S in the plant.
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, processes and performance.
• Participate in cross training to build flexibility.
• Complete required trainings and paperwork to cgmp standards.

<ul><li>Required to follow all of Premier's safety protocols while filling job orders to our Quality standards and procedures, including wearing Personal Protection Equipment at all times</li> <li>Efficiently fill orders to clients' specifications</li> <li>Pack boxes with the appropriate number of units while verifying Quality standards</li> <li>Stack correct number of boxes into the designated pallet pattern, and verify Quality and identification standards</li> <li>Correct or communicate mechanical or safety issues to Operator A or Supervisor in a timely manner</li> <li>Meet production output goals for assigned product or process</li> <li>Follow correct procedures and tool usage for salt hanging</li> <li>Responsible for housekeeping duties around work areas and general areas of the plant which may include sweeping, picking up debris, emptying wheelbarrows, or other containers, etc. as part of the 5S initiatives</li> <li>Contribute ideas and process improvement suggestions to continuously improve safety, processes, and performance</li> <li>Help create a strong team (line) through clear communication and respect</li> <li>Participate in cross training to build a stronger more flexible team</li> <li>Complete required trainings in a timely manner</li> <li>Complete paperwork in a timely manner to cGMP standards</li> <li>Always represent the company in a safe and professional manner while on company property or while wearing company branded clothing</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively; ability to stand for long periods of time</li> <li>Flexibility to work any required overtime</li> <li>Availability to work 12-hour shifts Monday – Thursday or 14-hour shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday</li> <li>Must have reliable transportation to work</li> <li>Other tasks and duties as assigned</li> </ul> <h3>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</h3> <ul> <li>Required: High school level courses or vocational training classes</li> <li>Preferred: High School Diploma or GED</li> <li>Attention to detail and ability to read/write (English) and interpret numerical sequences, identify lot numbers, and to effectively communicate production issues</li> <li>Two years previous high-volume manufacturing experience preferred</li> </ul> <h3>WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</h3> <p>These are considered essential duties and are illustrative of those job tasks, which are fundamental.
