Bulk Loader Operator

SHIFT: Third shift (11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.)

PAY: $25.00 + $1.00 shift differential

Job Summary

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, supporting our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and large retailers across the United States. Through industry-leading R&D and partnerships, we innovate nutrition products and practices to maximize the potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, including machining, processing, assembly, or packaging equipment.
  • Operate machinery to produce products according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Move, pack, and sort raw materials and finished goods.
  • Monitor output quality, discard or re-manufacture faulty products as needed.
  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.
  • Examine production materials for processing and operate all related equipment.
  • Monitor machine parameters and troubleshoot processing issues.
Required Experience
  • Basic computer skills
Minimum Qualifications
  • Age: 18 years or older
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions.
  • Use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches.
  • Ensure safety of oneself and co-workers at all times.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Work well with others and adjust to team needs.
  • Understand implications of new information for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Active listening skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing.
  • Work while wearing PPE.
  • Work in temperature zones that may be hot or cold, and environments with dust.
  • Shift schedules may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
