Job summary

Castrol is recruiting for a Level 2 Technician at our Port Allen plant. You will operate filling equipment across pail, drum and tote operations and support bulk fluid movements by truck and railcar.

Safety and quality standards guide daily tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role involves 8‑hour rotating shifts (6:30am–3:00pm, 2:30pm–11:00pm, 10:30pm–7:00am) and requires attention to equipment performance and process integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Bulk liquid loading/offloading with trucks or railcars.
• Experience with tanks, pumps, piping, hoses and fluid transfer systems.
• Ability to identify and respond to equipment and process issues during operations.
• Effective math and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and follow procedures.
• TWIC card required on site.
• Forklift (FLT) experience/certification preferred.
• Flexible schedule in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Able to lift up to 44 lbs and work at heights with fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling equipment for pail, drum and tote operations.
• Perform bulk fluid loading/offloading with trucks and railcars.
• Prepare work areas, materials, equipment and receptacles for filling and bulk ops.
• Coordinate tank status, volume, safe fill levels and movements.
• Follow procedures to prevent product commingling and contamination.
• Monitor equipment for leaks, spills, overfills, jams, and breakdowns.
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished goods.
