Qualifications

  • Must be at least 25 years old.

  • Diploma from accredited truck driving school counts as 1 year experience.
  • No preventable accidents in last 3 years.
  • No more than 2 minor tickets in last 3 years.
  • No serious violations in last 3 years.
  • No CDL suspensions in last 3 years (except child support).
  • Must lift 60 lbs or more.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to local customers on a scheduled route.
  • Record deliveries and pickups on load manifests; obtain signatures.
  • Perform loading/unloading and pre/post-trip inspections.
  • Follow safety rules and maintain vehicle appearance.
  • Communicate with customers regarding SOPs.
  • Maintain load manifests and shipping documents.
  • Work in a two-person team for long-haul ammonia transport.
  • Team driving with sleeper cab; DOT compliance for hours of service.

  • Pay:$67,790 - $101,686
  • Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday (some layovers w/ alternating weekends and holidays)
  • Layovers: Minimum 1 Night/week, possibly 2. Overnight layovers on rotation with other drivers depending on customer business needs. Hotel accommodations provided.

TheBulk Tanker Driverwill deliver products to local customers on a scheduled route or intermittently.Recordsdeliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest andobtainssignatures from customers for receipt purposes. Listens to and resolves service inquiries and complaints.Engagein loading/unloading truck procedures.Performspre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies, and ensures all safety items are in good working order.Maintainsneat, clean, and professional personal appearance and maintains vehicle appearance in aprofessionalmanner.

  • Safelyperform SOPs specifically related to the handling of Anhydrous Ammonia/Ammonium Hydroxide.

  • Communicatein person with customers regarding any SOPs.

  • Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are correctly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.

  • Ensureall safety rules are strictly observed

  • Maintainappropriate driver's license/endorsements.

  • Abilityto read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

  • Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.

  • Abilityto work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

  • Must havebasic computerexperience (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must meetall physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers.

  • Must be able tooperatein a drug-free workplace.

  • Must beable to work overtime if necessary.

  • Someovernight stays may be required on a limited basis.

  • This position requires working in a two-person team to ensure safe, continuous operations during long-haul bulk ammonia transport.

  • Team Driver requirement to work in a team environment with a sleeper cab truck to complete deliveries requiring a team driver to safely adhere to DOT protocols to HOS. Deliveries will consist mainly in the Salt Lake City, UT area, but may also include areas of Southern/Northern California, Arizona and Nevada. Team will driving will be with a tenured driver.

  • At least 25 years old

  • Class A CDL with at least 2 years' CMV experience ' experience must be within the last 4 years, and tanker/hazmat endorsements are required before the hire date

  • Graduation from an accredited truck driving school with a diploma will count as 1 year of the required experience

  • No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years

  • No more than 2 minor tickets in the previous 3 years

  • No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc.) in the previous 3 years

  • No suspensions of CDL in the previous 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support."

  • No DUI in the last 7 years

  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. or more

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tanker Experience Preferred

  • PTO offload familiarity

  • 2 years minimum in heavy duty diesel driving
