Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is hiring a Bulk Department Specialist to manage product knowledge, inventory, and customer service in our Bulk Department. You will help ensure shelves are full, systems run smoothly, and shoppers have a positive experience.

You will review invoices, track inventory, and support the buying team with order guides and pricing accuracy, while mentoring new staff and sharing vendor updates.

Qualifications

• Experience managing inventory and warehouse organization.
• Ability to work with Excel and POS systems for data entry and reporting.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.
• Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in coolers.

The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is seeking a Bulk Department Specialist to bring product knowledge, attention to detail, organizational skills, and inventory control expertise to our Bulk Department. This role combines customer service, data management and operational support to keep our shelves full, our systems running smoothly, and our shoppers happy.

What You'll Do:

• Serve as a go-to resource for staff, members, and shoppers
• Review invoices, track inventory, and ensure pricing accuracy
• Support replenishment buying team with order guide and inventory management support
• Support merchandising plans and maintain an organized and labeled warehouse
• Mentor new staff and assist with daily operations
• Share vendor updates and product changes with the team

What We're Looking For:

• Organized & Detail-Oriented: Skilled in tracking inventory, following processes and Customer Service Focused: Friendly, helpful, and responsive to shopper needs
• Collaborative Communicator: Works well in a team environment
• Inventory Control experience: understanding of inventory level management and warehouse organization
• Data Management: work with Excel and POS systems
• Price Management: understanding of invoicing, and margins
• Physically Capable: Lift up to 50 lbs., work in coolers, and stand for extended periods
• Natural Foods Enthusiast: Interest in local and natural foods a plus
