Job summary

Middlebury Natural Foods Co-Op seeks a Bulk Department Specialist to manage product knowledge, inventory, and operations in our Bulk area. You’ll help keep shelves full, assist shoppers, and support data management and invoicing processes.

You'll review invoices, track stock, and coordinate with the replenishment and merchandising teams. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a passion for local and natural foods.

Qualifications

• Experience tracking inventory and pricing accuracy.

Join Our Bulk Team! The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is seeking a Bulk Department Specialist to bring product knowledge, attention to detail, organizational skills, and inventory control expertise to our Bulk Department. This role combines customer service, data management and operational support to keep our shelves full, our systems running smoothly, and our shoppers happy.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a go-to resource for staff, members, and shoppers
• Review invoices, track inventory, and ensure pricing accuracy
• Support replenishment buying team with order guide and inventory management support
• Support merchandising plans and maintain an organized and labeled warehouse
• Mentor new staff and assist with daily operations
• Share vendor updates and product changes with the team

What We're Looking For

• Organized & Detail-Oriented: Skilled in tracking inventory, following processes and Customer Service Focused: Friendly, helpful, and responsive to shopper needs
• Collaborative Communicator: Works well in a team environment
• Inventory Control experience: understanding of inventory level management and warehouse organization
• Data Management: work with Excel and POS systems
• Price Management: understanding of invoicing, and margins
• Physically Capable: Lift up to 50 lbs., work in coolers, and stand for extended periods
• Natural Foods Enthusiast: Interest in local and natural foods a plus
