Job summary

El Super is seeking a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk for Store #13 in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on friendly customer service, keeping cheese and deli displays stocked, rotated and clean, and supporting the Bulk Deli area.

Two shifts are available; morning replenishment duties are performed under supervision. Food handler certification is required for food preparation and service duties, and equal employment opportunities are provided to all applicants.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area.
• The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
