Job summary

El Super in Corona, CA is hiring for the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk role. Under direct supervision you will assist customers, maintain cheese and deli displays, and keep the area clean and organized.

Morning shifts involve replenishing product and supporting the Bulk Deli Manager. This position requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, a fast-paced grocery environment mindset, and adherence to food-handling standards.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous and helpful service at the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk station.
• Assist customers throughout the shift, replenish product, and maintain cleanliness of the department.
• Keep cheese and deli displays rotated and presentable and follow supervisor instructions.
