Job summary

El Super in Anaheim is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk (#11) to provide friendly, efficient service to customers and to assist with stocking and rotating cheese and deli displays. The position offers two shifts; the morning shift begins by replenishing products as directed by the Bulk Deli Manager.

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, work in a fast-paced grocery environment, and follow all food-handling requirements.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers in the Bulk Deli area.
• Clean, fill and rotate the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Assist customers throughout shifts and maintain department cleanliness.
• Maintain shelves and product organization during the shift.
