Job summary

El Super in Fontana, CA is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk - #31 Fontana - Foothill to join the Store Operations Team. The role focuses on assisting customers, stocking and rotating cheese displays, and delivering friendly service in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Starting rate is 16.90 per hour. Food Handling Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food preparation, handling and serving. Equal employment opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity
Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
