El Super in Covina, CA is seeking a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk to join our store operations team. The role focuses on friendly customer service, replenishing the Bulk Deli cheese displays, and maintaining department cleanliness.

Two shifts are available; morning shift begins with replenishing stock under supervision. The position supports a fast-paced grocery environment, with a Food Handler Card required for related duties and equal employment opportunity statements.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsabilités

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
