Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk for the Wilmington location. The role focuses on friendly customer service, stocking and rotating cheese and deli products, and maintaining a clean, organized bulk department.

Starting rate is $18.47 per hour. The position requires physical activity, including lifting up to 60 pounds, and a Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for food preparation and service.

The Opportunity
Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
