Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk - #41 Baldwin Park. This role supports customers, keeps the cheese and deli displays stocked, rotated, and clean, and helps manage morning replenishment in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Joining our Store Operations Team offers the chance to contribute to a community-focused shopping experience while working alongside a dedicated team in Baldwin Park, CA. Food handling certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense and accuracy.
• Lift up to 25 lbs, up to 45 lbs frequently, up to 60 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
