Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Chemical Loading Operator to join a rotating shift team responsible for safe transfer of liquid bulk chemicals to and from tank trucks and railcars at our Virginia facility. The role emphasizes strict adherence to SOPs, safety training, and efficient operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and strong communication and computer skills, with preference for experience in manufacturing or chemical plants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, and/or chemical plant environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to standard work and SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and production goals.
• Safely operate heavy equipment.
• Handle hazardous chemical intermediates.
• Wear full PPE including acid suit and respirator.
• Load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail cars.
