Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Chemical Loading Operator in Virginia to safely transfer liquid bulk chemical products to and from tank trucks and railcars. The role requires operating heavy equipment, handling hazardous intermediates, and wearing full PPE on rotating shifts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team in a chemical plant environment. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or chemical plant environment preferred.
• Chemical and/or Industrial work environment experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate a fork truck.
• Ability to perform the physical labor associated with the job.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality and production goals are met.
• Responsible for safely operating heavy equipment.
• The ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediates.
• Ability to wear and work in full body PPE (acid suit, full face respirator and hood).
• Ability to handle changing plant priorities and site needs.
• Ability to load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail cars.
