Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Chemical Loading Operator to join a rotating shift team responsible for the safe transfer of liquid bulk chemical products to and from tank trucks and railcars. The role requires strict adherence to SOPs and the ability to operate heavy equipment in a chemical plant environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication and computer skills, and experience in manufacturing or chemical plants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or chemical plant environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality and production goals are met.
• Responsible for safely operating heavy equipment.
• The ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediates.
• Ability to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) - full face respirator and hood.
• Ability to handle changing plant priorities and site needs.
• Ability to load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail cars.
