Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Bulk Cheese Handler to support production by preparing and portioning cheese to meet customer specs according to GMP and safety policies. The role requires attention to sanitation, accurate data entry, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced cheese production setting.

You will rotate across lines, operate cutting tools and lifting equipment, and ensure orders are fulfilled with quality checks and proper safety practices.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read, prepare, and comprehend production reports and worksheets.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality and safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain area, equipment, and personal sanitation.
• De-box/unwrap cheese from original packaging and weigh cheese when applicable.
• Perform manual measurements and countdown for orders.
• Inspect/clean cheese and maintain accurate production records.
