Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. seeks a Bulk Cheese Handler to operate on the production floor in Wisconsin. You will de-box, weigh, cut, and assemble cheese to meet customer specs while maintaining sanitation and safety policies.

The role requires basic understanding of manufacturing processes, ability to read production reports, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. SAP experience is a plus; high school diploma or GED preferable.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to read, prepare, and comprehend production reports and worksheets.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to communicate with line personnel on quality and safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain area, equipment, and personal sanitation.
• De-box/unwrap cheese from original packaging.
• Weigh cheese when applicable.
• Inspect/clean cheese.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Operate cutters and lifting equipment.
• Load cheese into machines / onto equipment for further processing.
• Review order specifications to perform quality checks against customer orders.
• Enter data on production reports.
• Direct/communicate to line personnel on order specifications and quality issues.
