Job summary

Decker Truck Line, Inc. in Fort Dodge, IA, is seeking a Buildings & Grounds specialist to join our corporate team. The role supports cleaning, maintenance, and grounds operations on a Monday–Friday schedule with potential on-call needs.

The position involves operating maintenance equipment, landscaping, and basic repairs, with responsibilities ranging from floor care to snow removal as required. A valid driver’s license is required and HVAC/overhead door experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Directly-related work experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• HVAC experience or overhead door maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, blowers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other tools to clean and maintain buildings.
• Mow lawn, landscape upkeep and snow removal as needed.
• Paint shop areas, sweep, mop and polish floors; restock supplies.
• Remove trash and recyclables; assist with special projects and other duties.

Decker Truck Line, Inc. has an opportunity available for an experienced individual to join our team as Buildings & Grounds at our beautiful Corporate Headquarters in Fort Dodge! Great working schedule of Monday-Friday 7-4pm or 8-5pm and on-call as needed!

Buildings & Grounds Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, blowers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other tools and equipment as needed to clean and maintain buildings
• Routine and extensive grounds keeping andcustodial care including:
  • Mowing the grass and landscape upkeep
  • Snow removal when needed
  • Light electrical and plumbing
  • Sweep, mop, polish floors
  • Paint shop areas as needed
  • Clean and organize all areas as needed
  • Restock supplies as needed
  • Remove trash and recyclablesas needed
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Buildings & Grounds Qualifications

• Previous directly-related experience
• Motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to75lbs
• Valid Drivers License
• HVAC experience a plus
• Prior Overhead Door Maintenance a plus
