Job summary

UPS is seeking a Supervisor to oversee maintenance and facilities operations in Stafford, TX. You will coordinate BaSE mechanics and external vendors to perform repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient package flow.

The role involves inspecting facilities, scheduling repairs, and maintaining environmental compliance while delivering required safety training to staff. Shift hours vary, and relocation isn't required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international equivalent preferred.
• Programming experience including troubleshooting; basic networks, motor control theory, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Identify and schedule necessary repairs and preventative maintenance with BaSE mechanics and outside vendors.
• Communicate work status to colleagues to minimize impact on department schedules.
• Maintain environmental compliance per UPS programs to promote safety.
• Deliver required regulatory training (Lockout, Hazmat) as directed.

Job Description

This position assists in determining proper corrective action to be taken with damaged or worn equipment based on the history of breakdowns and discussions with the operations team to determine the most cost-effective solutions. This position assists with dispatching BaSE Mechanics to complete necessary conveyor system repairs and Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs). This position monitors status of repairs and PMI updates daily to ensure timely completion of work. This position assists conducting facility inspections and identifying operational improvements needed to promote efficiency of package flow and safety.

• Work Schedule will vary according to business needs. Shift may be a 3am or 2pm start time

Responsibilities

• Assists with overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping.
• Assists with identifying and scheduling necessary repairs and preventative maintenance using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors to maintain the condition of the facility.
• Communicates assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.
• Assists with maintaining environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs (e.g., Storm Water, Clean Air, Hazardous Materials, etc.) to promote the environment and health and safety of UPS workers and the surrounding community.
• Delivers required regulatory training (e.g., Lockout Training/Hazmat Training) as directed to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering - Preferred
• Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
