Job summary

UPS is seeking aMaintenance Technician to support plant floor equipment in a Portland, OR facility. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust devices, respond to internal requests, alarms, and emergencies, and perform preventative maintenance to keep conveyors and facilities running smoothly.

Preferred candidates hold an engineering degree and have knowledge of networks and motor control, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, able to read schematics, and adaptable to flexible scheduling based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in engineering - Preferred.
• Troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.
• Flexible scheduling based on the operation needs.

Job Description

This position troubleshoots, calibrates, and adjusts plant floor devices as necessary to maintain optimal performance of plant floor equipment. This position responds to sorts calls and breakdowns and expedites their completion. This position provides support to maintenance mechanics to resolve breakdown situations. This position assists in solving the daily problems inherent in keeping the conveyors or physical facility in good working order.
