State of Wisconsin, Department of Corrections, Bureau of Correctional Enterprises, seeks a Buildings and Grounds Supervisor at Jackson Correctional Institution in Black River Falls, WI. The Department of Corrections Bureau of Correctional Enterprises is currently recruiting to fill a Buildings and Grounds Supervisor position. This position is located at Jackson Correctional Institution in Black River Falls, WI.
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-04 with a starting pay of $33.01 to $37.17. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote.
Shift: Monday- Friday 7:45am- 4:30pm
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
Maintaining or repairing systems commonly used in building/institution complexes. (i.e. heating, cooling & refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical equipment, food service equipment, grounds equipment, security systems, building structure components, plumbing, electrical, computerized and mechanical systems, and vehicles.)
Utilizingvarious computer operations and applications such as CMMS (Computerize Maintenance Management Systems) that manages workorders,online ordering, basic computer applications such as Microsoft, excel, outlook, etc.
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:
Planning and directing the maintenance and repair of service systems. (i.e. telephone, radio, computer local network, electric, security fences, cameras, natural gas, water distribution systems and storm, and sanitary sewer system.)
Must have the ability to work up to 16 hours per day and more than 40 hours per week on any shift based on daily operational needs.This may include weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
