Job summary
The City of Richmond Heights is seeking an experienced Building & Zoning Administrator to lead the administration of building, zoning, permitting, inspection and code enforcement activities. The Administrator will oversee operations, ensure compliance with codes, and coordinate with residents, contractors, developers, and local officials.
Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of relevant municipal experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or building technology, and ICC Plan
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in building, zoning, planning, code enforcement, or municipal administration.
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in engineering or building technology, or related field and extensive construction/regulatory supervision experience.
- ICC Plan Reviewer and Commercial Building Inspector certifications.
- ICC Building Official certification within one year of hire.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Lead the administration of building, zoning, permitting, inspection, and code enforcement.
- Oversee departmental operations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
- Coordinate with residents, contractors, developers, and local officials.
- Provide leadership to department staff.
