Job summary

Crown Technical Systems is seeking a Building Wiring Technician in Dallas, Texas. You will be responsible for wiring installation in building enclosures according to specifications, reporting to the Building Wiring Supervisor.

• Detail-oriented with ability to read and interpret directions and diagrams.

• Able to safely operate powered equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, diagrams, drawings and procedures to complete assemblies.
• Wire and assemble components in building enclosures.
• Use power tools and hand tools to accomplish tasks.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure product meets specifications.
• Identify defects and report them accordingly.
• Monitor inventory of supplies, tools and parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Building Wiring Technician located in Dallas, Texas.

Reporting to the Building Wiring Supervisor, the Building Wiring Technician is responsible for wiring installation in building enclosures according to specifications.

Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM

What a typical day looks like:

• Review, analyze, and follow various blueprints, diagrams, drawing, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies
• Wiring and assembly of components
• Uses various power tools and hand tools (ex. Drills, impacts, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks
• Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards
• Identify any product defects; record and report them accordingly
• Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts in workstation
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Perform all other duties as assigned

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience in wiring, assembly or manufacturing setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management
• Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
• Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency with the ability to safety operate powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, overhead crane, etc.)
• Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
