Job summary

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems, focusing on state-of-the-art relay and control panels, and medium voltage switchgear. We are seeking an Electrical Test Technician in Dallas, TX to perform electrical testing during manufacturing, following established procedures.

Typical shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. You will work with engineering and production teams, troubleshoot issues, and draft detailed test reports with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in electrical testing or related field.
• Knowledge in testing of three phase AC and DC control circuits.
• Good working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and NEC Codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Follow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to do testing of main electrical distribution AC/DC systems.
• Perform testing on various systems including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and merging of cables.
• Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work.
• Be able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems.
• Draft detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Electrical Test Technician located in Dallas, Texas.

Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Test Technician will complete electrical testing of products during the manufacturing process based on established testing procedures.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What a typical day looks like:
