Humboldt USD 258 is seeking a highly skilled Building Trades Teacher to lead our CTE construction program starting in the second semester of the 2026–2027 school year. The role may be filled as full-time permanent or interim, with responsibilities spanning middle school exploration to advanced high school projects.

The successful candidate will maintain a safe, hands-on learning environment, manage shop safety and resources, and strengthen industry partnerships for real-world experiences and job

Qualifications

• Valid State Teaching License with endorsement in Industrial Technology or CTE.
• Experience in carpentry or residential construction, or general contracting.
• OSHA 10/30 and First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsabilités

• Instruct middle and high school students in shop safety, carpentry, framing, basic electrical, plumbing, masonry, and tool operation.
• Develop standards-aligned lesson plans integrating academic skills with trades applications.
• Lead large-scale hands-on projects, oversee site prep, estimating, and project management.
• Maintain safety inspections, inventory, and secure storage of tools and PPE.
• Foster industry partnerships, mentor students, and coordinate with contractors for real-world experiences.
