Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Building Technology Systems – Intermediate Consultant to join our Denver office. You will work on security and telecommunications systems for building projects, coordinating with owners, architects, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a four-year engineering degree and 1–3 years’ experience, with strong Revit skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will engage with federal/public clients and participate in design/construct activities.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or equivalent certification/experience.
• 1–3 years designing security and telecommunications systems in AEC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Revit experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable interacting with federal and public clients and owners.
• Adheres to company policies and safety standards.
• Track record of workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead consultant in project delivery: drawings, meetings, specs.
• Design telecommunications and security systems for buildings.
• Coordinate with clients to gather requirements and document design needs.
• Create design narratives and coordinated construction documents.
• Manage budgets and staff for deliverables.
• Support meetings and RFIs, review submittals.
• Perform site surveys to document progress.
• Ensure integration of security and telecom with BMS, lighting, AV.
