Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Facilities Technician to keep critical building systems operating smoothly through proactive maintenance and timely repairs. You will work hands-on with HVAC, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and building automation controls, diagnosing issues and coordinating with contractors as needed.

The role requires 2+ years in facilities maintenance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related technical field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated capacity to diagnose complex system issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation controls according to scheduled maintenance plans while identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using appropriate tools, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques, prioritizing issues based on safety and operational impact.
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems, safety equipment, and structural components to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records using CMMS to track trends and support data-driven decision making.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, installations, and major maintenance projects, ensuring quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
