Tarrant County College is seeking a skilled facilities technician to maintain County buildings through preventive maintenance, repairs across HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and general carpentry or painting tasks.
The role involves planning and executing remodeling projects, supervising contractors, assisting with events setup, and ensuring safety standards are met while supporting day-to-day operations on campus.
Provides maintenance for County buildings through one of the following: preventive maintenance, equipment and machinery repairs, heating and air conditioning, carpentry or painting.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to climb, walk, lift, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, push and pull. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and/or electrical hazards. Exposed to outside weather conditions on an occasional basis. This position may require overtime, rotating shifts nights, evenings, weekends and holiday work. Candidates must have the ability to pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.
