Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a skilled facilities technician to maintain County buildings through preventive maintenance, repairs across HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and general carpentry or painting tasks.

The role involves planning and executing remodeling projects, supervising contractors, assisting with events setup, and ensuring safety standards are met while supporting day-to-day operations on campus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in building maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of commercial building operations, life safety systems, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair, building or remodeling projects and order needed supplies.
• Perform remodeling tasks for County buildings (painting, carpentry, electrical work).
• Repair and maintain HVAC systems and related building equipment.
• Assist with moving furniture and office equipment.
• Set up furniture for special events.
• Assist and supervise contractors and vendors.
• Perform plumbing repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
