Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Florida to ensure mechanical systems and common areas are well-maintained, clean, and disinfected. Responsibilities include completing work orders, inspecting and repairing building components, and collaborating with building staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in building trades, with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2+ years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handyman work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and roofs to check for problems; reports to supervisors.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled; maintain equipment in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with minor carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs as needed.
