Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service small to mid-sized buildings and industrial systems. The role is part of Engineering and Technical Services, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and system support to keep operations efficient.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnoses, and repairs, with emphasis on following procedures under supervision. Strong communication and basic IT skills are required to manage work orders and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of job-related experience (in lieu of diploma, combination of experience and education).
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and meet physical requirements.
• Strong communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
