Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is offering a limited-term, full-time engineering intern position to work on Building Engineering projects at either our Madison, WI or Denver, CO office, starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026.

The intern will assist project engineers with 3D building systems modeling, HVAC software applications, load calculations, reports, and coordinating with design team members; occasional site surveys and potential building commissioning are possible.

Qualifications

• Completed at least four semesters of college-level coursework in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering or a relevant degree.
• Ideal candidate will have coursework in HVAC and/or plumbing related projects.
• Experience working in a design team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with 3D building systems modeling.
• Support HVAC software applications and load calculations.
• Prepare reports and studies.
• Coordinate with design team members.
• Occasionally assist with site surveys and may assist with building commissioning.
