Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a limited-term, full-time engineering intern to work on Building Engineering projects in either Madison, WI or Denver, CO starting May/June 2026 and ending August/September 2026.

The intern will assist project engineers with 3D building systems modeling, HVAC software applications, load calculations, and reporting. A valid driver's license and occasional travel are required; completion of four semesters of mechanical or architectural engineering coursework is

Qualifications

• Completed at least four semesters of college-level coursework in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering or a relevant degree.
• Coursework in HVAC and/or plumbing related projects.
• Experience with Revit software and working in a design team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with 3D building systems modeling and load calculations.
• Support HVAC software applications and prepare reports and studies.
• Coordinate with design team members and assist with site surveys as needed.
• May assist with building commissioning and other tasks as assigned.

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an exciting opportunity available for a limited-term, full-time engineering intern to work on Building Engineering projects at either our Madison, WI or Denver, CO office starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026.

The intern will be responsible for assisting project engineers with the following:

• 3D building systems modeling
• HVAC software applications
• Load calculations
• Preparing reports and studies
• Coordinating with design team members
• Occasionally assisting project engineers with site surveys
• May assist with building commissioning
• Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license and occasional travel will be required.

Successful candidates must have completed at least four semesters of college-level coursework in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering or a relevant degree from an accredited college or university.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

• Coursework in HVAC and/or plumbing related projects
• Experience with Revit software
• Experience working in a design team setting.

Hourly Rate Range: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
