Job summary

ISS Facility Services - North America in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Building Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair building systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and electrical components up to 480V. You will support O&M for campus facilities and collaborate with the Chief Engineer.

The role requires 3–5 years of technical experience, Universal 608 certification (NATE preferred), and hands-on skills with refrigeration, pumps, actuators, and Work Order control.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related technical experience or training.
• Universal 608 certification required; NATE preferred.
• Experience with refrigeration, boilers, air compressors and mechanical systems.
• Chiller operation experience including AHUs, actuators and pumps.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building equipment including chilled water loops, pumps, boilers and chillers.
• Respond professionally to customers and uphold safety and quality standards.
• Complete work orders using a computerized maintenance system.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for maintenance work.
