Job summary

Energy Solutions is seeking a Building Systems Engineer / Project Engineer to join their engineering team. You will support design-build delivery of building mechanical systems, especially HVAC, for commercial and educational projects, collaborating across disciplines to deliver efficient, reliable performance from concept to startup.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, 5–10 years of experience in building systems or project engineering, and proficiency with HVAC load

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support the design and development of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, ventilation/indoor air quality, hydronics, and related mechanical coordination.
• Perform or oversee HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork/piping layout, energy modeling, and system integration using Trace, HAP, Carrier, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project efforts across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and structural disciplines to ensure cohesive building systems design and delivery.
• Prepare and review design documents, specifications, drawings, calculations, and project deliverables for HVAC, hydronic, ventilation, and related mechanical systems.
• Support design-build project execution from concept through construction administration, including schedule coordination, budget awareness, technical issue resolution, and commissioning support.
