Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Building Engineer in Austin, TX to ensure maintenance systems operate efficiently and safely for clients and properties. You will respond to requests, prioritize work orders, and monitor inspections, alarms, and preventative maintenance programs.

The role requires 3–5 years in building maintenance, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management systems, and proficiency in MS Office. A valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in building/property maintenance or engineering.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and standard reporting tools.
• On-call availability for after-hours and weekend emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and check daily operating logs for building systems and tenant requests.
• Ensure maintenance requests are handled efficiently at the lowest cost.
• Assist in development of annual budgets and RFP processes for projects.
• Demonstrate understanding of operating procedures and chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
