Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) seeks a hands-on Building Engineer to maintain mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC systems at a large facility. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections while ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

We value 4–5 years of related experience, EPA/CFC certification, and the ability to work under safety guidelines. This role emphasizes problem solving, teamwork, and adherence to CBRE RISE values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience, 4-5 years of related work.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred; local/state licenses may be required.
• Physically able to perform duties including lifting 50 lbs and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program and perform preventive maintenance.
• Support safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design specs.
