Job summary

Stantec’s New York City office is seeking a Commissioning Engineer Intern to support senior commissioning leaders in project delivery. You’ll work on commissioning, retro-commissioning, design, and energy audits for diverse clients and facilities.

You should be pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, be in the process of earning your EIT, and have 0–2 years of technical consulting experience. Travel regionally may be required, with regular office hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and building equipment/systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong background with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience with Trane Trace, eQuest or IES.
• Knowledge of building energy and sustainability.
• Ability to travel regionally on occasion.
• Ability to drive, travel, and work normal business hours in the office (Mon-Fri).

Responsibilities

• Support different senior commissioning leaders in their project delivery.
• Assist with multiple commissioning projects, retro-commissioning projects, solutions design, and energy audits for a wide variety of clients and facility types.
