CentiMark Corporation, the nation’s largest commercial roofing contractor, is seeking a Building Systems & Compliance Specialist to work with executive leadership to evaluate building codes and develop modern roofing solutions. This role supports field teams across the country and offers a comprehensive training program.

Primary placement is at Canonsburg, PA, with possible regional office options nationwide for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Education or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in any analytical or STEM-adjacent field OR equivalent practical experience in construction, trades, or field operations.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with comfort presenting or facilitating discussions in group settings or virtual webinars.
• Curiosity and attention to detail when researching guidelines, solving technical challenges, or evaluating product quality.
• Ability to balance multiple ongoing tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• A passion for professional growth and acquiring industry credentials.

Responsibilities

• Advise & Support: Collaborate with leadership and field teams to evaluate building codes and identify optimal roofing system solutions.
• Learn & Grow: Complete an onboarding and CEU program to build expertise in building science, code compliance and commercial systems.
• Navigate Systems: Use RoofNav to research and verify compliant solutions for active projects.
• Supplier Collaboration: Partner with material manufacturers to evaluate new products and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Train & Present: Host interactive virtual training sessions and webinars for internal associates and partners.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Coordinate across procurement, quality assurance, and field operations to keep projects running smoothly.

The Opportunity

As a Building Systems & Compliance Specialist, you will work directly alongside executive leadership—including the Vice President of Technical Services—to evaluate building codes, help develop modern roofing solutions, and support field teams across the country.

Location Flexibility: While this position is primary to our corporate headquarters in Southpointe (Canonsburg, PA), qualified applicants located outside the greater Pittsburgh area may have the opportunity to work out of one of our regional offices nationwide, based on background and relevant industry experience.

No prior roofing experience? No problem. We provide a comprehensive, fully paid training program designed to teach you everything you need to know about the industry, building codes, and product compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise & Support: Collaborate with leadership and field teams to evaluate building codes and identify optimal roofing system solutions.
• Learn & Grow: Complete an extensive onboarding and continuing education (CEU) program to build expertise in building science, code compliance and commercial systems.
• Navigate Systems: Utilize industry tools like the Factory Mutual (FM) RoofNav system to research and verify compliant solutions for active projects.
• Supplier Collaboration: Partner with material manufacturers to evaluate new products, improve installation methods, and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Train & Present: Host interactive virtual training sessions and webinars for internal associates and partners.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Coordinate across procurement, quality assurance, and field operations to keep projects running smoothly.
