Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in St. Louis. You will plan and execute building systems commissioning with emphasis on mechanical/HVAC, controls, and operational readiness, including field work, testing, and documentation.

Under supervision, you will contribute to projects across education, healthcare, commercial, and science sectors. Travel up to 50% is expected; ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred; 4+ years in related field

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in commissioning, HVAC design, or building automation design or related field.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred; Bachelor or Master in Engineering.
• Ability to read/interpret construction documents and translate into test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute commissioning activities for assigned projects under supervision.
• Develop and implement commissioning plan, schedule, and documentation.
• Develop functional performance tests for HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with PMs, design teams, contractors, and vendors for testing and issue resolution.
• Witness start-up, point-to-point verification, TAB verification, and integrated testing.
