Job summary

LVI Associates in Nashville is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support a diverse portfolio of healthcare, commercial, education, government, and other complex facilities. You will work alongside seasoned commissioning professionals through the full process from design reviews to functional performance testing.

The role requires strong knowledge of building systems and the ability to travel to project sites 50% or more. CxA/CxT credentials are preferred; LEED accreditation is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commissioning, MEP consulting, construction administration, building operations, controls, test and balance, or a related field.
• Experience with building commissioning and retro-commissioning processes.
• Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, controls, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to conduct site visits, inspections, and functional testing activities.
• Commissioning certifications such as CxA, CxT, or equivalent are preferred.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Building Science, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently (50%+).
